There is a choice of three detached self catering cottages, two of traditional stone and slate and the one sited where the original Farmhouse was built is of a more conventional build. All offer the comforts of home but still retaining traditional period features making each cottage individual and unique. Similarly this has been continued with the furnishings and décor giving the choice of three very different styles of accommodation sleeping up to 5, 5/6, and 6 persons respectively. Each cottage is equipped to cater for the maximum occupancy and includes bed linen, towels, crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils etc. They all have their own garden areas each with their own barbecue and garden furniture. Electricity and oil is all inclusive and logs and coal are available for purchase. Cottage rental is on a weekly basis, Saturday to Saturday, but all the cottages can be made available out of peak season for short breaks or bed and breakfast. Situated 2 miles west of Drumnadrochit and Loch Ness,just off the A831,18 miles (20 minutes) from Inverness. Polmaily nestles into a south facing hillside sheltered among birch woodland and grassy hills. The cottages all share enviable views of different aspects of Glen Urquhart and the mountains beyond. Close to Loch Ness,history connects the farm to Urquhart Castle, 'The Big Smith' and his relationship with the sidhe (fairies) and whisky distilling!! Centrally situated for exploring the Highlands and Islands,ideally placed for touring and spoilt for choice with many outdoor pursuits available. Golf (choice of 45 courses in the Highlands). Fishing (Salmon,Brown Trout many more). Stalking (Red,Roe and Silka). Shooting (rifle range,clay and game). Mountain biking and hill walking.
