Fodderty Lodge, originally built as a Country Manse in 1730, stands well back form the A834, north-west of Inverness, midway between Ross-shire's County town of Dingwall and the Victorian spa town of Strathpeffer.
Following considerable conversion and refurbishment, Fodderty Lodge offer a variety of high quality self catering accommodation and Highland Hospitality. Dingwall, some 2 miles distant, is a market town and has an excellent range of local shops as well as supermarkets and a fascinating weekly antiques auction. It offers a good Indoor Sports Centre with a heated swimming pool. The attractive village of Strathpeffer is 2 miles in the opposite direction and is home to a challenging 18 hole golf course and a couple of excellent all weather tennis courts. ON Saturday evenings in the summer season ther are displays of dancing and traditional music organised by the Strathpeffer Pipe Band.
Inverness is 20 minutes away, Ullapool and the West Coast can be reached by car within an hour. Many outdoor activities are available locally, including: fishing, pony trekking, water sports, climbing and excellent walking.
