Guisachan Lodge is surrounded by wonderful scenery,adjacent to Glen Affric National Nature Reserve,which is renowned for quality walking,there are six Munro's in the area,also visit the magnificent Glens of Cannich and Strathfarrar. This picturesque,traditional stone and slate lodge,which pre dates Lord Tweedmouth's model village of Tomich,is set amidst the majestic views of Strathglass. The area is steeped in history with the golden retriever dog originating at Guisachan Kennels.
Once forming part of the historic Guisachan Estate,it offers an abundance of wild life in their natural habitiat. See the wild deer,pine martens,badgers living as nature intended. See Golden Eagles,Buzzards and Ospreys with numerous other birds rarely seen anywhere else in the British Isles.
A short drive away you can search for the famous monster at Drumnadrochit or visit Castle Urquhart on the banks of Loch Ness. At one end of which lies Fort Augustus,part of the Caledonian Canal,at the other end lays Inverness,the city capitol of the Highlands.
Two of Scotland's finest waterfall,the spectacular Plodda Falls and cascading Home Falls are literarily around the corner.
