Perfect for the Great Outdoors Fern Villa Cottages are three purpose cottages built as a small terrace. On the upper floor there are two good size bedrooms each with two single beds, wardrobe, chest of drawers, etc. Also on the upper floor is a fully fitted bathroom with shower over the bath. On the ground floor there is an open plan lounge area, dining area and kitchen area. Around the dining table there are six chairs so you can even invite guests in for a meal with you. The lounge area looks out of the patio doors over the village shinty pitch towards the Mamore Hills at the North side of Loch Leven. (Shinty is a Highland game often described as 'man sized hockey! - the equipment is similar but with no restrictions on the height of the stick it appears to be quite fierce.) In the lounge the sofa can be converted into a full size double bed so a family of up to six At the entrance to the cottage is a porch area in which there is a dehumidifier to help with the drying of outdoor clothes should they get wet in the occasional(?) showers we sometimes get. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge and washing machine/ tumble drier. Bedlinen, towels, heating and electricity used are all included in the price. Behind the cottages three peaks that are higher than 3000 ft - Beinn Bhan, Sgorr Dearg and Sgorr Dhonuill. They make for a fantastic ridge walk with views to the Isle of Skye, Isle of Mull, Loch Linnhe, Loch Leven, Ben Nevis and is a memorable experience. The cottages are close to the bottom of the Pass of Glencoe famous, or rather infamous, for the Massacre of Glencoe that took place there in 1693. The area is perfect for most outdoor activities including walking, hiking, climbing, fishing, cycling, golf, photography, touring or even just relaxing in the beutiful surroundings of the West Hgihlands of Scotland.
