Smithy Cottage dates back to 1830 and was the original Blacksmith's workshop. Sympathetically extended and refurbished, the cottage now provides very comfortable self-catering accommodation in a quiet rural setting.Wonderful mountain views and wildlife can be enjoyed from the cottage. The patio area at the front is the perfect place to watch the evening sunset or, on the right night, the Northern Lights. Nearby forests offer way marked trails for cycling, walking and orienteering. Situated at the foothills of the Eastern Cairngorms between Royal Deeside and Speyside in the Cairngorm National Park Area of Upper Condise, Strathdon is well placed for sight seeing. Visitors can enjoy castle, whisky, coastal and distillery trails. Gardens, fishing and children's attractions are all within a day visit.
This property has two bedrooms. One with a double and 2 single beds. Bedroom two has bunk beds. Both bedrooms have ensuite shower/toilet/basin. Open plan lounge (with woodburning stove), dining room and kitchen.
