Mains Farm is situated in the Heartland of Scotland, just minutes from the Trossachs and a short drive from the NEW National Park at Loch Lomond. The site has spectacular views over the Carse of Stirling and Fintry Hills. Our site has eight wigwams, which can easily accommodate four to five people each. There are toilets, hot showers and self catering facilities on site. In Thornhill, there is a village shop for all your self catering needs and two pubs, which offer full restaurant menus and bar meals. Recreational facilities within a 10 mile radius include fishing, golf, riding, boating, forest drives/walks, picnic areas and mountain bike hire.

A shared kitchen is provided free of charge. It has a fridge, sinks and gas hobs. There is plenty of seating for all the Family. New for 2006 we have extended our dining area.

The Lion & Unicorn is a country pub within five minutes walking distance from the site. It serves restaurant and bar meals. Open 7 days all day all year

On the outskirts of Thornhill with a panoramic view over the Carse of Stirling to the Fintry Hills, Mains Farm lies on the gateway to the New Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park - a world famous area of lochs, glens and hills with breathtaking scenic beauty.

Facilities close by include two country pubs providing bar and restaurant meals. The local country store and newsagent provides for all your self catering needs There is also a playing field with playing equipment for the children.

Directions

From Stirling or Motorway M9 Exit 10 - take A84 signposted Crianlarich and Callander.

After approximately 6 miles bear left onto the A873 signposted Aberfoyle and Thornhill.

In about 3 miles and at the crossroads at Thornhill village turn left onto the B822 signposted Fintry. About 125 metres downhill the site is signposted on the right hand side.
