The Pump House, a steading conversion on Loaninghead Farm, once the hunting lodge of the Dukes of Montrose. The Pump House is where the water, which came from the water track feeding Glasgow from Loch Katrine, supplied Loaninghead Farm. In 1860 water was pump by a hand pump hence the name pump house. We are delighted to be able to offer The Pump House for self catering, 2 Double bedrooms and 2 bathroom/shower rooms upstairs, down stair a twin bedroom, toilet, with w.c. and washbasin, utility room, kitchen/dining area, sitting room, garden and patio area, with all the modern conveniences one would require for a relaxing holiday. Kitchen has high quality crockery and cooking utensils. Allergy free Duvets and pillows, bed linen and towels supplied. We are situated on the A811 3 miles from the village of Drymen on the Stirling road near to the juntion of the A81 Aberfoyle - Glasgow road. Our visitors will be provided with an information pack on the area and if you would like personal recommendation we are only too happy to help, ample parking. Included in our package is the use of local leisure club facilities including swimming, sauna, jacuzzi, squash and gymnasium good for the wet days. If you want to cycle, fish, play golf, walk, sail, relax or simply breathe the air, The Lomond area offers the unique opportunity to enjoy these activities, and many more, amongst the most inspiring natural scenery. We are situated on the south facing side of The Endrick Valley and command an outstanding view of The Campsie Hills. Aside from the magnificient hills the panorama consists of a patchwork of farms and small villages. The villages have local co-op, grocery, butcher shops, pharmacy, paper shop, tea rooms, pubs, & libraries. Bag pipe display on the village green during July, and August.
