Panholes Cottages has been lovingly restored and decorated by owners Ruth Hamilton and John Henry to meet the highest level of comfort and design. The cottage offers luxury self-catering accommodation for 4 - 12 people. It is in a breathtaking setting combining farmland hills, rivers and mountains. Wildlife is abundant, with many birds of prey in the area and wild deer roaming the fields. The surrounding area offers a nature reserve, superb walks and rambles, fishing and great cycling. Situated near Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park for spectacular scenery, superb walking and water sports. The world-famous Gleneagles Hotel and golf complex, with its challenging championship courses is 3 miles from your front door. Riding, shooting and falconry are available nearby. Perth, Stirling, Edinburgh and Glasgow are easy motorway trips with their historic sites, art galleries and museums. The smaller towns of Auchterarder, Bridge of Allan, Comrie, Crieff, Callander and Dunblane are all within very easy reach.
Barn Cottage is centrally heated and also has a stone built fireplace with a living flame electric stove in the living room. The tiled porch leads into a light and spacious hallway with its 80 year old wooden floors and handmade latched doors. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a dual fuel range cooker, dishwasher and large fridge freezer. The dining area has a solid wood table and chairs and is an integral part of the kitchen. The utility room has a washing machine, tumble dryer, a drying pulley and is the downstairs cloakroom. The large living room has fabulous countryside views from one window and overlooks a walled garden from the other. It is beautifully furnished with a leather sofa and easy chairs, wooden floors, hand made tables and bookcase. The 2 bedrooms are stylishly furnished and have very comfortable beds made up with fresh, crisply ironed linen. The ensuite bathrooms are identical with a deep wood lined bath, corner shower cabinet and heated towel rails.
The Roundhouse is adjacent to Barn Cottage and the adjoining door allows a large group of 12 people to be accommodated together. Roundhouse has oak floors downstairs and handmade latched doors throughout. The accommodation comprises of a unique beamed round lounge with double doors leading to a large open plan dining/kitchen, utility room and bedroom with bunk beds and downstairs cloakroom. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms, one ensuite with hay loft window overlooking the walled garden and one twin bedded room. There is a family bathroom with corner bath and separate shower cabinet. The Roundhouse price range is from £575.00 - £935.00 per week.
