APARTMENT 39 LOTHIAN HOUSE is an excellent Four Star Self-Catering apartment which features superb panoramic views of the beautiful city of Edinburgh, including the majestic Castle. Indeed, the outlook from the large sunny windows in the living room, bedroom and kitchen is quite spectacular!
THE AREA: Centrally located right in the city centre, on Lothian Road, the apartment 39 Lothian House is just across the street from the Edinburgh International Conference Centre. The Headquarters of Scottish Widows, Standard Life and also some of the major banks are all within a few minutes' walking distance. Edinburgh Castle dominates the area and Edinburgh's main attractions are all easily accessible with The Royal Mile, Princes Street & its famous Gardens, the Grassmarket, galleries, museums, cinemas, pubs and clubs all being only a short walk away from this apartment. Shops and a wide variety of quality restaurants are also within the immediate area. Theatre goers will find the location perfect for easy attendance at the Usher Hall, the Traverse, the Lyceum and also the King's Theatres, all of which are within the immediate vicinity. This apartment is ideal for visitors who want to stay right in the city centre. Also located on Lothian Road are The Sheraton Grand Hotel, and of course, the famous Caledonian Hotel.
THE APARTMENT: Apartment 39 Lothian House is an historic unique Art-Deco property . Recent refurbishment, in a pleasing style, makes this ideal for travellers desiring high standards. It provides compact comfortable accommodation for 1-4 guests, but is ideally suited for a couple. It has one bedroom with a King size double bed, sitting room with double sofa-bed, kitchen with dining area and modern bathroom with power shower over the full size bath. All windows have double glazing and there is effective gas heating throughout the property. Facilities provided are extensive. There are 2 LCD Televisions with DVD players. A generous sized widescreen TV is in the sitting room and there is a wall mounted TV in the bedroom. We provide a good range of complimentary movies & books for your entertainment. There is also a Hi-Fi/CD player and, of course, very well stocked tourist information folders. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern kitchenware & quality appliances, including a microwave & dishwasher. There is a dining table for 4 guests. All linens, towels, pool towels, gas and electricity are provided.
THE BUILDING: The apartment is on the third floor of Lothian House (a landmark B Listed Art-Deco Building of important national heritage) on the corner of Lothian Road and Morrison Street. Lothian House has a security entrance with entry phone system, 2 lifts, a private Leisure Complex with pool, sauna and gym and shops at street level.
TRANSPORT: Visitors will not require a car for transport within the city centre. Edinburgh & Lothians Buses pass the front door and provide a frequent public transport system, which is easy to use as well as being low in cost. However, if you are bringing a car with you, car parking is available at many convenient city centre car parks.
BOOKINGS: Usually, we prefer guests to book weekly accommodation. We will accept shorter stays (minimum 3 nights) and rates are provided for these. If you would like to stay longer than 2 weeks, please feel free to talk with us about this, as we will possibly be able to offer a further discount in this situation. We provide generous extras for our guests which include an arrival welcome continental breakfast package, luxury toiletries and a ‘sweet treats’ basket. We hope these provisions will get your visit off to a good start! For guests who do not want these added extras, please ask us about our alternative BASIC BREAK offers, although these are not available during peak periods. We also offer LATE AVAILABILITY rate reductions at times, so please email us or check our own website link for details of these.
