We are situated in the Machars, south of Newton Stewart, amid rolling countryside, the perfect place to chill out. There are gardens to admire, Galloway House Gardens, Garlieston and Rigg Bay. Coastal walks to explore, wildlife, birdwatching, wildflowers, the seashore. Mountains to climb, history to discover, standing stones. Scotland's Book Town - Wigtown close by. The Whithorn story and St Ninians Cave. The Galloway Forest Park, nice places to eat and lovely drives. A good selection of shops in Newton Stewart, muesum and library with reference section for genealogists. St Medan, Monreith for golf and the Gavin Maxwell otter memorial - he wrote 'Ring of Bright Water'. Horse riding, Bladnoch Distillery tours. '2000 Acres of Sky' filmed round about this area. Creetown Gem Museum and the Tropic House for butterflies are well worth visiting. Local events through the season.

COTTAGE 1 - kitchen with washing machine, microwave, electric cooker, fridge with ice box, cafetiere. Sitting room, colour tv, cd/radio, selection of cd's, books, jigsaws. Dining area. Double bedded room, wardrobe, chest of drawers. Single room with chest of drawers, bedside table. An extra bed or cot can be provided please ask for info. Hall cupboard/cloaks. Shower room with toilet and wash hand basin.
COTTAGE 2 - as cottage 1 but with double bedded and twin bedroom.
Off road parking, locked bike store. All linen, towels, heating and electricity included in prices.
