Carrick is a place of unspoiled and natural beauty, boasting a safe beach suitable for swimming. The views from the cottage are magnificent and sunsets can be stunning. There is a Post Office/General Store in Borgue, 3.5 miles away and numerous shops in Gatehouse of Fleet and Kirkcudbright.
There are a number of challenging golf courses within easy driving distance and sea, river and loch angling are all available in the area. The surrounding area is suited to walking and cycling and there are many pleasant walks suited to both the energetically inclined and those who just want to stroll and enjoy the scenery and fresh air.
