Eastlaw Holiday Cottages in Coldingham have been renovated from a farm steading into 4 self catering holiday cottages, set 500 metres from the centre of the popular village of Coldingham on the edge of the Scottish Borders, 10 miles from the English border at Berwick upon Tweed, 75 miles from Newcastle and 45 miles to Edinburgh. The village has 2 pubs providing a friendly atmosphere, good food, also a restaurant and holiday park providing entertainment in Spring, Summer and Autumn. Each of the 4 cottages sleeps 6 (cot available on request). The cottages have been tastefully decorated and have full gas central heating with spacious living area containing a wood burning fire, television, video, DVD and stereo. Facilities include utility area with washing machine and toilet, these lead out to a drying and sitting area with picnic tables. The cottages offer open plan kitchen diner with a new fitted kitchen and appliances including built in oven, hob extractor, dishwasher, microwave and fridge freezer, allowing holiday makers to enjoy each others company even whilst cooking, making your holiday as pleasurable as possible. On the first floor there are three pitched roof bedrooms, tiled master bathroom and master bedroom with en-suite. The second and third bedrooms have interconnecting doors that provide an excellent family room, providing peace of mind and privacy at the same time. Cottage 4, is designed slightly differently, larger than the other cottages, on the ground floor there are 3 bedrooms and master bathroom, the master bedroom has en-suite facilities and twin beds and a dressing area. Bedrooms 2 and 3 have twin beds and views over the fields towards the village. The first floor offers open plan living and dinning with wood floors and log fire and fantastic views out over farm land and rolling hills to St Abbs Head and the sea through the panoramic 6 metre window offering dramatic views of shipping making their way up and down the Firth of Forth. Slightly larger than the Osprey and Ptarmigan Cottages, Guillemot Cottage with a green painted entrance door is attractively decorated and comfortably furnished. The furnishings are similar in all the cottages so we've chosen to feature pictures of the kitchen and dining areas in this one. There are fabulous views from the windows or through the stable door at the front entrance. Looking out over the lawn towards trees and farm fields, containing arable crops or cattle, dependant on the season. A carpeted pine-staircase leads from the inner hallway to the first floor and bedrooms. The cottage has three pitched roof bedrooms, the master bedroom having an en-suite shower, hand-basin and W.C. This bedroom is furnished with a very romantic and lovely four-poster bed and an easy chair; making it a room in which you can completely relax with your dreams! The family size kitchen/diner, comfortably seating six at the table, is ideal for meal-times everyone can enjoy The second and third bedrooms have interconnecting doors that provide an excellent family room, giving you peace of mind and privacy at the same time. Each bedroom has a chest of drawers and all the beds have attractively patterned duvets and pillows. The sitting area is very comfortably furnished with two well cushioned sofas, coffee tables, lamps and rugs. Plus a wood burning stove, fire companion set and a log basket. A TV, Video player and Music Centre as well as magazines and local papers are also provided. Guillemot Cottage sleeps six persons and a cot is available on request.
