With an idyllic situation in the heart of the Scottish Borders, New Woll Estate and the Woll Golf Course offer luxury self catering accommodation on a testing and very enjoyable golf course.
Overlooking the golf course there are five exceptional self catering properties designed for comfort and luxury. All the properties offer large and attractive living areas with open plan lounge, dining and kitchen space. Each of these areas has been designed to give a natural feel incorporating real oak wood floors and natural stone feature walls and fireplaces. Bedrooms have en-suite facilities with marble and slate tiling. Short breaks of 3 or 4 days accepted.
All the properties have beautiful views over the course and the historic Ale Valley and are set in attractive private grounds with a back drop of surrounding woodland. The grounds surrounding the properties are for the sole use of our guests but also have access to the Abbey Way, a popular walking route, covering a large area of the borders.
All guests staying on the Estate benefit from FREE golf for the duration of their stay on the Woll Golf course, an 18hole par 70 parkland course following the gentle contours of the valley. The course is surrounded by mature trees and the Woll burn comes into play on a number of holes. The course was recently extended to 18 holes and the new nine are exceptionally attractive and have been receiving very favourable reviews from visitors.
Situated just off the A7 between Selkirk and Hawick, the Estate is very accessible and Edinburgh, Newcastle, Carlisle and Glasgow are all just over an hour away by car in this wonderful rural setting.
In the late autumn of 2004 we hope to open our new Clubhouse with restaurant, bar, shop and changing facilities.
Although we are well suited and popular with golfing groups you don't have to golf, there are many other activities available nearby and which can be arranged for you including fishing, clay pigeon shooting, riding, walking and mountain biking.
