Fenay beck cottage is part of a 200 year old house with lots of character offering superb holiday accomodation for up to two people (and a child), at an excellent price in a beautiful location. On the outskirts of Kirkburton village, the cottage backs onto farmland where the cows come to graze, with the added attraction of a wonderful vintage pub and local fish and chip shop that are just a few minutes away. Kirkburton also has surrounding conservation woodlands and is within easy reach of the Pennines.

Facilities

Fenay beck cottage is a self-contained lower ground floor flat offering superb holiday accomodation for up to three people (two adults and one child), at an excellent price in a beautiful location. The cottage contains one double bedroom, ensuite, a large beamed lounge with dining area equipped with TV and video, a fitted kitchen with all mod cons, conservatory, large garden that backs onto Fenay Beck and farmland beyond. Parking is available on the drive for one car.

The lounge is equipped with a sofa bed that sleeps 1 additional child.

Bed linen and towels are provided. Pets are welcome provided they are kept in the conservatory or kitchen, although we do make an extra charge for pets - please contact us for more details. No smoking is allowed in the cottage.

Location

A short walk (10 mins) from the village of Kirkburton, in West Yorkshire, and Boothroyd Wood (conservation area). Local amenities include shops, library, doctors, Italian restaurant, and various food outlets. There is a Vintage Public House and fish and chip shop just around the corner from the cottage.

Within a short drive is the famous "last of the summer wine" village of Holmfirth and, for those who enjoy walking, the Pennines is close at hand. Huddersfield town lies in the heart of the Pennines and is within 10 mins drive of the cottage. In addition to the shopping precinct, there are various markets, cobbled streets, and a UCI cinema on the outskirts. Leeds, Manchester, and Sheffield are all within an hour's drive, offering excellent shopping and a lively nightlife.
