Dating from 1890 The Old Gallery was originally build as a picture gallery for a large private art collection.  It has now been carefully fitted out gaining the prestigious Five Star rating from the Tourist Board inspectors.  Features include design to M2 mobility standards meeting many of our guests who need a ground floor bedroom and facilities.

Large family en-suite with superking bed (can be twin) and a single bed.  Views over the courtyard and onto Ilkley Moor 
   
One double and one twin bedroom sharing adjacent bathroom with shower.  Bedrooms can be linked.  One bedroom overlooks the courtyard, the other through a Velux window onto Ilkley Moor
   
The Old Gallery has an impressive balcony (with handrail protection for children) overlooking the lounge with its high ceiling.  The original, superb, marble Victorian fireplace has been fully restored and houses the latest design living flame gas fire for convenience.  The dining area is open plan with views out of the gates onto the moor. 
 
The kitchen is fully equipped including family sized fridge freezer, fan oven, microwave and dishwasher.  There is a washing machine/ tumble dryer and ground floor, wheelchair access bathroom.  There are two entrances, one of which is ramped.

The four cottages at Westwood are for those who prefer a more traditional cottage stay. They are particularly suited to families and those who need to avoid the stairs of the main house. Our latest refurbishment - The Old Gallery - has been fitted out to M2 mobility access standards. They all enjoy direct access onto the gardens and grounds. Each is fully equipped and tastefully decorated in suitable cottage styles. We have combined antique pine and oak furniture with other period pieces in darker wood. The curtains, upholstery and linen have also been chosen with the Victorian cottage theme in mind.
