'Last of the Summer Wine' holiday cottage in Denby Dale. Close to the TV village location. Ivy Cottage can be reached by local train station in village and the M1, jct 38. Trains go to Sheffield, Huddersfield, York and Whitby each day. The village has excellent facilities including 2 pubs and mill/craft shops. There are fields, moors and woods for dog walkers, all around the village. The cottage has 1 large bedroom and a sofa bed and extra fold-up bed. It has a shower over the bath and is heated throughout. In the living room/kitchen there is a living flame coal like fire (fire guard and child gate at bottom of stairs), TV, video, CD player and radio. Cooking facilities include a microwave. Gas cooker and slow cooker and toaster. The courtyard is south-facing with patio table ad chairs and pots of flowers. There are also sun chairs for relaxing outside. The cottage is newly decorated and very comfortable for guests. In the village there are many food outlets and also a car park and telephone box. There is a vet and GP surgery, post office, bank, newsagent and hairdressers for guests' needs. The cottage is 150-years-old and was involved in the Luddite riots during the 19th in Dewsbury near Huddersfield. It is available all year for short and long-term holiday breaks.
