1 of 3 Cottages - Centrally situated, midway between York and the North Yorkshire Moors, this pair of lovely traditional cottages and the stable conversion nestle within the Howardian Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.Peacefully set in a secluded corner, they each have South facing gardens with colourful borders and patio, and enjoy open views over hills and woodland. Perfectly situated for family days out, the cottages offer an ideal base from which to tour the surrounding areas - with plenty to do and see in all directions. The ancient bustling city of York and the North Yorks Moors National Park are both just 12 miles away and Castle Howard only 5 miles. A little further afield the delights of the Yorkshire coast, "Herriot's Dales" and "Heartbeat Country" and the Moors Steam Railway are all within an hour's drive. This area is richly endowed by delightful English Heritage and National Trust sites, with many castles, abbeys and stately homes to explore. Swimming, horse riding, golf and fishing are all available nearby. Many excellent pubs and restaurants are within an easy drive.
