The bedroom has fitted units and a double bed, and the bathroom has a bath, w.c., basin, and wall heater to keep you warm if you visit in the Autumn or winter months.

For your comfort and warmth, the cottage is carpeted throughout, with storage heaters provided in both the bedroom and the lounge.

Welcome to Leyburn, the Gateway to the Dales. Our cottage is situated perfectly for all the sights, attractions, and activities that you might like to visit or try during your holiday in Yorkshire.

Built in 1751, the cottage is set in a quiet courtyard in the centre of the Market town of Leyburn. The small and historic town has a superb weekly market, a wide variety of shops, pubs, and restaurants. All of these attractions are situated very close to the cottage.

Leyburn is an excellent base from which to explore the Yorkshire Dales, which boast some of the most beautiful scenery in England, and the Yorkshire Moors, an area of stunning moorland and charming villages on the way to the east coast. Indeed, the east coast is not too far away, Historic Richmond is only 8 miles away, York only 35 miles away, and there are plenty of enjoyable walks within this area of Penhill and East Witton Fell. The famous Shawl itself is a mere 200 yards from the cottage, with magnificent views of Lower Wensleydale.

The surrounding countryside offers a vast array of activities including touring by car, walking, fishing, golf, mountain biking, pony trekking, and some spectacular show caves. If history is your passion, then you will enjoy visiting the many nearby castles, stately homes and museums. Of course, you may simply just wish to relax in the the peace and quiet of the beautiful countryside. whatever your interest, we would welcome the opportunity to help you make the most of your holiday in Leyburn.

Please note that the Cottage only sleeps 2 adults and 1 infant (cot and highchair available on request).

All guests are asked to vacate the cottage by 9.30am on the day of their departure. New guests are welcome any time after 12pm. Thank you for your cooperation.
