About the Cottage
Alma Cottage is part of the stone terraced main street of the lower dales village of Kirkby Malzeard, in the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, close to the North York Moors National Park. We don't know how old it is, but we believe it is over 200 years old and is named after the battle of Alma in 1854. It still has most of its original style and features, including low beamed ceilings, but now has all modern facilities, including full central heating.
The cottage is available for bookings throughout the year.
Accommodation
The cottage has three double bedrooms, one with a king-size double bed, the other two with twin beds. There is a large bathroom, with power shower and WC. Downstairs is a living room with woodburning stove, dining room, kitchen with breakfast table, utility room and cloakroom with WC and washbasin. At the back there is a secluded walled garden and a large secure garage.
