Blacksmiths Cottage is an 18thC cottage situated on the High Green in Catterick village. The cottage, one of the oldest in the village has been sensitively renovated to provide all modern amenities whilst retaining its original character. Accommodation comprises a large lounge, well-fitted dining/kitchen, 3 spacious bedrooms (1 double, 2 twin), a bathroom with shower over the bath and a second toilet downstairs. A small integral garage houses a washing machine and tumble dryer and provides adequate space for storing bicycles or drying wet and muddy clothes. The cottage is gas central heated. Facilities include cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave and colour TV. The cottage is embraced by a private garden with small patio and original outbuildings. Garden furniture is available for guests use. A cot and high chair are available on request. Dogs are welcome with the owners permission. Catterick village is situated just off the A1 about 5 miles from the historic town of Richmond. Services within the village include a small supermarket, post office, newsagents and 3 pubs. Local amenities include a swimming pool, golf courses and riding stables and the nearby Catterick Racecourse. Catterick is ideally situated for exploring the very beautiful Northern Dales of Wensleydale and Swaledale as well as the North Yorkshire Moors. It is within easy driving distance of the historic towns of Ripon, Harrogate, York and Durham. The area caters for all ages and tastes and holds surprises to embrace everyone including superb walking, castles, abbeys, craft workshops, tea rooms, open fires farms and local museums and markets.
