This traditionally styled log cabin, with extensive views of the delightful Yarty valley, was purpose built to provide self catering holiday accommodation for both able-bodied and disabled people, and sleeps up to eleven. It is very wheel-chair friendly and has two of the three double bedrooms on the ground floor and a large ground floor wc/shower-room. The Kitchen and breakfast-room provide all the easy to use appliances that the holiday maker expects. Open stairs in the lounge area provide access to the loft where the other bedroom is situated. The ground floor rooms have under floor heating which is included in cost as are a basket of logs for the wood-burner.Disabled Access The cabin has been designed and is fitted to offer a high degree of accessibility. It provides: level external access; level door thresholds; wide doorways; large wheelchair accessible ground floor wc/shower-room with suitable grab-rails; high level sockets & low level switches; kitchen sink and hob providing under access; raised fridge and dishwasher; low sill levels to windows where appropriate; two electrically operated beds.Places to See Tamarack Lodge is situated on family run beef and sheep farm in the beautiful Blackdown Hills, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty near the Somerset/Devon border. The farm is organic and also in an Environmentally Sensitive Area (ESA), has two County Wildlife Sites and is bounded on one side by the Yarty river. There are many beautiful walks in the immediate area.
