The Owls has been converted from a traditional cow byre, to provide comfortable holiday accommodation, retaining the charm of a country cottage. The original beams and some of the original stone can still be seen. Set on a farm in the peaceful Somerset countryside, only a mile to the picturesque market town of Castle Cary and close to the area’s many attractions. Orchard Farm offers affordable accommodation for a relaxing West Country holiday.

Owls sleeps 4, but we can put an additional folding bed in the lounge if required. The cottage has an open-plan living area comprised of lounge and dining area, with a kitchen leading off from this. It has two bedrooms, one with double beds and the second with full-size bunkbeds. Owls has a bathroom with bath/shower, and a separate toilet. Cots and highchairs are available on request.

Facilities: The kitchen is equipped with electric cooker, microwave, fridge and coffee machine. A television is provided in the lounge. Electric heaters are provided for each bedroom and the living area. A washing machine, tumble drier and freezer are available for your use at the adjacent farmhouse.

Children: Cots and highchairs are available on request, but please bring your own bedding for the cot.

Pets: Well-behaved pets welcomed (£10 extra).

Services: All electricity charges are included in the price. Linen, including towels, is provided free of charge and beds are made up ready for your arrival.

Parking: Ample off-road parking is available on site.

Gardens: Lawns next to the cottage allow visitors to relax in the peace and quiet of the Somerset countryside. Garden furniture is provided and barbecue facilities are also available on request.

The Bath & West Showgrounds are just 4 miles away, while Stourhead, Longleat, Montacute, Glastonbury, Street, Wells and Yeovilton are just a few of the many attractions that are less than 10 miles from the farm.
