There are three cottages forming Great Coverdon they are traditional brick barns built in 1870 close to the Georgian, Listed farmhouse Bengrove. The barns have been tastefully and sympathetically restored and converted to produce three cottages within a courtyard setting. The use of curved walls adds an extra and unusual dimension to the traditional exposed beams and creates a light, spacious ambiance; the under floor heating beneath the oak floors makes for a cosy environment, even on the coldest of days. Each large, single storey cottage each has a slightly different layout but all are finished to the same high standard and designer style. Each Cottage has one double bedroom with a beautifully tiled en-suite bathroom, a large twin bedroom, and a fully tiled and spacious wet floor shower room. In addition to a selection of comfortable seating arrangements, the large living rooms, with their high, beamed ceilings, also all have a double sofa bed, a TV with video and a dining table with chairs to comfortably seat at least six people. The kitchen in each cottage is fabulously appointed having electric oven and hob,a built in combination microwave an integrated dishwasher, a washer/drier machine and sufficient high quality crockery, cutlery and utensils to cater for your culinary needs. Outside, there are lawned gardens each with a seating area equipped with table and chairs to enable you to sit back and enjoy the fabulous views across the open countryside. Great Coverden is situated on the outskirts of the village of Sandhurst, close to the River Severn. the City of Gloucester with its historic cathedral and docks is only 3 miles away. The spa town of Cheltenham with its classic regency buildings, famous for its Gold Cup Race Week and renowned for its literary and music festivals, is just 10 miles away. Both the charming medieval town of Tewkesbury and the Forest of Dean are close by, as are the beautiful Cotswolds. Finally, there are some lovely walks along the Severn, the UK's longest river.
