As our standards are high, Shepherds Cottage has been completely renovated and refurbished to provide convenient, comfortable and attractive holiday accommodation. The kitchen is well equipped for easy self-catering. The sitting room, stairs landing and bedrooms all have fitted carpets. Centrally heated and double glazed throughout, it is suitable for holidays at any time of the year, with the additional attraction of a multi-fuel stove in the sitting room for extra cosiness in the winter months.On the ground floor the entrance lobby has toilet with handbasin and shaver point. Large fitted kitchen/diner with electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge. Sitting room with TV and radio/cassette, multi-fuel stove, fitted carpet and patio door. On the 1st floor is bedroom 1 with king size double bed, fitted wardrobe and carpet. Bedroom 2 has twin beds, fitted wardrobe and carpet. The bathroom has shower over bath, handbasin and WC.The garden has spacious lawns with fruit trees, spring bulbs and garden furniture. There is ample parking. All fuel is included in the rental. All bed linen (duvets) is provided together with bath mats and table cloths. Guests should bring their own towels and tea towels, although these can be provided for overseas guests.Shepherds Cottage is conveniently situated 1 mile from Blandford Forum, off Higher Shaftesbury Lane, just north of Blandford by-pass. It is surrounded by arable farmland. Set amongst beautiful rolling downs, just 30mins from the sea by car, Shepherds Cottage is an excellent base for exploring the wonderful Dorset coastline, interesting old towns and villages, the famous Thomas Hardy country. Nearby are many historic sites, stately homes and nature reserves. In addition to local museums, there are those of the Royal Signals and Tank Corps. Weekly lets from Sat-Sat. Short breaks available.
