Headland Warren Farm is one of the few remaining Devon longhouses and is around 600 years old, dating back to the 13th century. Today, the farm's buildings consist of the original farmhouse, a converted barn, an attached cottage, and stables. Nearby, at Fernworthy, excellent trout fishing is available, and within ten minutes' walk are Grimspound - the most impressive remains of a Bronze Age settlement on Dartmoor - and Hookney and Hameldown Tors. Headland Warren stands in the middle of the Two Moors Way, and makes an ideal stopping point en route. What's more, a splendid yet easy 30-minute moorland walk will take you to the famous Warren House Inn, one of the highest and most remote pubs in England! Situated in its own 600 acres of particularly beautiful and remote National Park moorland, Headland Warren is the ideal base for walking, riding, 'letterboxing", bird-watching - or just relaxing in the pure Dartmoor air! Wild ponies often graze close by, alongside the farm's own animals: horses, Anglo-Nubian goats, Gloucester Old Spot pigs, Belted Galloway cattle, sheep, ducks, geese and chickens - not forgetting the dogs and cats! Children, dogs and guests' horses are all very welcome. Please note that smoking is not allowed indoors throughout.
Further adjoining twin bedrooms are available if required, as well as extra sleeping capacity in the sitting room For More InformationVisit Property's WebsiteSpecial Features
