Devon Cottages to Let Bere Alston
At the Cottages to Let in Bere Alston, there are no sounds of civilization. Nature, chirping birds, water sounds envelop the whole area.
Well...maybe there is the occasional tractor or the shrill toot of the Tamar Valley train as it stops at the local crossing. In the Devon Cottages to Let, there IS NO TRAFFIC.
Peace
This is life at Rumleigh Farm on the untouched Bere Peninsular, right on the border of west Devon, looking across the Tamar River into Cornwall.
A little slice of heavenRumleigh, the location of the Cottages to Let Bere Alston, is the perfect place to relax, but it is not so far from civilization to make it burdensome. It is also the perfect base to explore Devon and Cornwall. Five minutes away, by riverboat is the pub at Calstock in Cornwall. We sometimes forget that cars are really not the only mode of transport. In fact boats, horses, cycles, and walking are often the preferred way to get around.
Granted, your car is needed to get you the 15 minutes it takes to travel far into the Dartmoor National Park or, to head, loaded up, to the beaches of either the north and south coast.
But at Rumleigh you can just wander about for hours, admiring the butterflies, entertaining yourself on the pond, smiling at the dogs and kids playing, smelling the flowers and just simply unwinding. In fact we havent disovtered any visitors who cant take it easy at the Cottages to Let in Bere Alston. It is often called - caught in the Rumleigh Triangle - here you really can believe you are lost in time.
Although, many people like to take it easy at the Devon Cottages to Let, it is not always necessary, there are plenty of exciting things to do.
Shopping, for example. Tavistock is a quaint award winning market town full of novelty shops and a food stores. Plymouth, known for Sir Francis Drake, is within half and hour and has everything a city dweler could want, and more, with its beautiful Hoe and busy Napolionic harbour.
Within about an hours drive you can go: golfing, pony riding, sailing, canoeing, boating paint balling, sea fishing, fly fishing, trout fishing, clay pigeon shooting, hawking, falconry, rock climbing, abseiling, scuba diving, helicopter flying, and dolphin watching. If all that does not feed the need for excitement then driving the narrow lanes of Devon, will do the trick!
The recently renovated, spacious barn sleeps 6 - 8 in three beautiful bedrooms, all with lovely views of the valley.
