Converted barn with four bedrooms and sleeps a maximum of six. The bathroom with bath/shower and toilet is downstairs, together with three bedrooms, one twin bedroom, one bunk room and one with two single beds. On the First Floor is the double bedroom with its own shower/toilet, and a combined kitchen, dining and living room.
Fitted with modern equipment : Our pigs - Little Rudolph, Heidi and Gina - are an attraction for most of our visitors, and children love to watch a litter of piglets scampering around. They are kept outdoors all year in grassy paddocks, so stay clean, active and, we think, happy. The Lowerpenhallow Farm trail and its leaflet are designed to show visitors most of the farm's fields, and a short walk will take you to our main wildlife pond. Depending on the period of the year, this attracts mallard, little grebe, Canada geese, shelduck, teal, swallows and swifts, moorhen, heron, warblers, buzzards, kestrels and occasionally visiting swans, and these can be observed from our hide, "Leisure Centre II". In the farmyard, in spring, you could have a grandstand view of our nesting barn owls as they feed their young. Places to visit - The Roseland Peninsula The Roseland Peninsulais known for its unspoilt rural and coastal scenery with plenty of walks for all ages and good swimming beaches. St Anthony Head and lighthouse, the famous church at St Just-in-Roseland, the harbour villages of Porthscatho and St Mawes with the ferry across to Falmouth and other boat and fishing trips - all can be combined into interesting days out locally, without the need for a long drive. And if you prefer cycling, the farm is located on National Cycle Route 3, and we can provide information on other selected itineraries. Many of our visitors enjoy the 25 minute walk across the fields to Pendower, a sandy swimming beach, where the Southwest Coast Path will take you east or west for miles and miles. In addition to our farm trail, there are many local walks, along the coast, along the River Fal, across the fields or along the lanes. There are many opportunities for getting for boat trips, such as ferries across the River Fal to Falmouth and other ports of call, boat trips up river to Truro,Trelissick Gardens and Smugglers' Cottage. There are also opportunities on the Roseland for all kinds of activities such as sailing, windsurfing and kayaking lessons, riding and tennis within five miles, and excellent golf courses within a half-hour's drive.
