The Old Smithy sleeps 2 people in a very comfortable double bed in the spacious bedroom, with room for cot or single folding bed, which can be requested at no extra cost.
The cottage is in a very private setting at the end of an unadopted road, and adjoining the owners cottage. The location is on the outskirts of the village of Pensilva, and nestles on the edge of Bodmin Moor, with views of the hills and countryside.
The village is well served with its own large shop, post office, bus service, church and pub, all of which are within easy walking distance from the cottage.
Ideally situated for visiting or touring the North and South coasts of Cornwall and Devon.
The well known region of Bodmin Moor is close at hand and is extremely popular with walkers. This area is packed with mining heritage, mythical stone circles and standing stones.
The many other attractions of Cornwall such as its heritage, historic houses and gardens, the rugged coastlines and scenic beauty are all within easy reach. The traditional holiday ideals of sandy beaches are not far away, either on the north coast or the south coast and for the more active there is everything from sailing to diving, surfing to fishing and much more. This location also offers a range of golf courses, diving and sailing schools, cycling or walking the south west coastal path.
There is a popular beach at Looe, where there are also plenty of shops and restaurants, so makes an excellent destination for a day trip.
The Lost Gardens of Heligan are one hours drive away and it is approximately 45 minutes drive to the famous Eden Project.
Fishing: Fly fishing at Siblyback Lake (4 miles) or sea fishing, including very exciting shark fishing at Looe.
Bowling: Indoor and outdoor bowling facilities are to be found at the nearby market town of Liskeard and outdoors at Looe.
