Mullion Cove is a quaint National Trust owned fishing village on the west coast of the Lizard Peninsula (England's most southerly point). The row of coastguard cottages, which overlooks the cove, was built in 1900 and used by coastguards until the 1970's. The cottage is located 120m from the cliff top coastal path. A 2nd path links the cottage to Mullion Village via Mullion Meadows. There are several sandy beaches nearby. The cottage is approached by a quiet road that has no through traffic. The cottage has 3 double bedrooms and has been tastefully refurbished in 2005 to form a comfortable and easily managed holiday cottage, without losing its original Victorian charm. The accommodation is on 3 levels. The fully fitted kitchen has a hob, fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher and eye level oven. The rear entrance lobby has a washer-dryer and airing cupboard. The main bathroom is on this level with a bath and shower over. On the 1st floor, the bedroom at the rear (which has views over mounts Bay) has a double bed and it's own en suite shower room. The front bedroom (facing Mullion Cove) has 2 single beds, one of which is raised up bunk bed style. This bedroom also has a wash basin. The 2nd floor bedroom has 2 single beds. There is also a small closet on this floor with toilet and basin. The cottage is heated with electric storage heaters throughout. The cottage has a grassed front garden on the seaward side, which is not enclosed. At the rear there is a courtyard with a detached parking space. There is a 2nd dedicated parking bay 30m away.
