Mill House is the largest cottage, set on 2 levels, with lots of character. The large beamed living room has a woodburning stove for cosy evenings and overlooks the attractive courtyard. A newly fitted galley kitchen with ivory units, ceramic hob, modern oven and dishwasher is opposite the dining area with large table. Also downstairs is a bathroom with handbasin and a separate shower room and loo. Upstairs are 4 bedrooms, bedroom one has a four poster bed and ensuite shower and loo. Leading off this room is the smaller twin room. There is parking for 2 cars close by. The Courtyard Cottages originally date from the 17th century, when they were built as a mill for grinding and storing corn and grain for the surrounding area. The old Cornish stone walls are from two to three feet thick and have traditional slate roofs. The courtyard provides a pleasant suntrap and an al-fresco breakfast or evening drink can be enjoyed at one of the slate tables. Boscastle is an unusually sheltered harbour owned by the National Trust with spectacular cliff walks. You will be able to stroll along the quayside, visit interesting shops, or take time out to sample a Cornish Cream Tea or drink at one of the local inns. The Napoleon Inn is situated at the top of the village, near the end of the lane. The Cobweb Inn and The Wellington Hotel are near the harbour.
