Sussex Holiday Cottages are a collection of 3 close proximity farm cottages which provide a high standard of country holiday accommodation. Walnut Cottage has a 4 star English Tourist Board rating, and Walnut Barn & Stables a top 5 star rating. The accommodation is set around a courtyard in the grounds of our 16th century Sussex farmhouse. All guests have access to our extensive grounds and heated outdoor pool, which is open from late May to early September.
Walnut Cottage sleeps 3, and is a snug traditional former farm worker's cottage with an ancient Horsham stone roof. All rooms are on one level, with a step up into the kitchen. This makes the cottage particularly suitable for small children, or people with limited mobility. Most of the rooms have exposed beams, and all have attractive Georgian windows.
The accommodation comprises of one large double bedroom with an en suite w.c., a single bedroom, a spacious lounge/dining room with wood burning fire, television with digibox & hi-fi, a bathroom with over bath shower, w.c. & bidet, & a fully fitted galley kitchen with dishwasher & microwave. Cottage guests have access to a laundry, with washing & drying facilities.
Walnut Barn sleeps 6, and is a magnificent timber framed building with a wealth of oak beams, oak floorboards throughout, and a flag stoned galleried hall. The accommodation comprises of master bedroom with vaulted ceiling & wall tapestry, 2 further double bedrooms (one with a low beam), spacious sitting room with wood burning stove, television with DVD & Sky, & a hi-fi, first floor bathroom with roll top bath and walk in shower, ground floor bathroom with large bath & walk in shower, large kitchen/dining room with 10 foot dining table, dishwasher, double sink, microwave & large fridge/freezer, utility area with washing machine. There are televisions in the master & second bedroom & the kitchen.
Walnut Stables sleeps 2, and has an internal connecting door to Walnut Barn. It can be let either in conjunction with the Barn or Cottage. It is a short walk across the courtyard from the Cottage, which allows a little privacy for grandparents or teenagers! The Stables has twin beds and a large bathroom with central roll top bath, walk in shower & w.c.

Sussex has a beautiful coastline and countryside, ranging from the wild and rugged South Downs, to lush green fields and winding lanes. Walkers and cyclists can enjoy exploring the trails of the South Downs Link. For the golfer there are many welcoming golf courses close by.
When staying at Sussex Holiday Cottages you can easily enjoy the delights of Glorious Goodwood or a visit to the award winning Weald and Downland Museum. Instead you could choose to visit the historic houses, gardens and castles in the area. If you want entertainment, why not take a trip to a London theatre or a night at the opera at Glyndeborne. It is just a short trip to Brighton where you can indulge in the antique shops offered in the world famous Lanes.
