A cosy Grade II listed cottage, dating from the 1850s, very conveniently situated in the heart of the historic Arundel, just a couple of miles from the south coast. Renovated and furnished to a very high standard but still retaining many of the features of the period. The cottage is within very close walking distance of the castle, cathedral, antique shops that fill the town, tearooms and restaurants and there is a wide range of places of interest to suit all tastes close by.The cottage, standing as one of a row, has been tastefully refurbished, offering high standards of comfort and convenience. The living room is fully equipped with TV and DVD, CD player, books and games. The kitchen is fully fitted out with oven, fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave and dishwasher. The bedrooms are cosy and tastefully furnished.You need to be aware that there are some steep stairs to the first floor; this is one is the original features that has been retained. The doors and ceilings area also low, so you will need to take care when entering rooms. There is one double bedroom and one very small single bedroom on the first floor, both fitted with good quality beds, and a small but impressive shower room with WC.Outside, there is a terraced garden with table and chairs and a barbecue, with views across the beautiful countryside, down to the Channel. The garden is secluded and quiet. The back of the house also leads to a lane running the length of the terrace, affording some idea of how this part of Arundel used to look in the last century.All electricity and gas is provided in the cost of the holiday. The cottage has full central heating and a combi-boiler provides immediate hot water. All linens and towels are also included in the cost of the holiday. Local shopping is easily accessible, but a welcome tray is provided for your first night.
