Where is Kingsdown? The small village of Kingsdown is close to the Kentish coast and the holiday village itself is situated right on top of the white cliffs. Dover and the ferry ports are about 10 minutes drive away and the Channel Tunnel can be reached in about 20 minutes. Shopping facilities are available in Deal which is connected to Kingsdown by a regular bus service. You can travel to London by motorway, the journey takes about 90 minutes. The next railway station is about 5 minutes driving distance from Kingsdown; from here you can take the train to London Charing Cross (travelling time approximately 2 hours). Canterbury, the capital of Kent and home of the famous Canterbury Cathedral, is only 30 km away from the holiday village. For further information about the area contact www.whitecliffscountry.org.uk Details about the holiday chalet and villageThe chalet is an A-frame Scandinavian design and is situated on the cliff tops, surrounded by woodland and greenery. The park has its own indoor swimming pool, tennis court, sand volleyball court, children's playground and table tennis facilities, all of which are free of charge. A crazy golf area is also available. The holiday village has a shop, a restaurant, a launderette and two pubs, one of which is open to children accompanied by their parents; here children's entertainment is offered during the holiday season. The holiday village itself is ideal for children because of its large green areas where they can run about without fear of traffic as guests must leave their cars on the car parks provided and not on the site. Sorry, but animals are not allowed.Interior of the Chalet In the downstairs part of Chalet 88 there is a living room (with colour TV and stereo-system), bathroom and kitchen with dining area. Upstairs are two bedrooms and a WC. One bedroom has twin beds and the other a double bed.
