Canterbury Country Houses offer three 5 star self-catering houses just 3 miles from Canterbury.The Old Tannery (sleeps 6) and The Oast (sleeps 8) are located in the village of Littlebourne and look out over the river and the village green. The third house, called Ellens Cottage (sleeps 6), is located on a fruit farm near the village of Bekesbourne. It has a large garden that is ideal for children. The properties are managed directly by the owners, Mark & Rosie Mount, who between them also run the farm. East Kent is often passed by, but it is full of history and interesting things to do and places to visit. There are even sandy beaches at Sandwich and Margate. Dover and Walmer Castles are two contrasting gems, and Canterbury with its cathedral speaks for itself. The coastal towns provide endless fascination - the oysters at Whitstable, the cinque port of Sandwich with its Roman remains, the famous Royal St George's Golf Course, the ships and maritime history at Chatham. Every pursuit is available from golf, riding, cycling, walking, music and arts. You can even meet the gorillas at Howletts Zoo just around the corner.You will never be bored!
