The GATE COTTAGE is situated in the grounds of a private country house, up a drive of about 200 yards. It has its own peaceful, large garden, mainly grass, which is safely enclosed making it suitable for small children and dogs. (approx. 15 x 35 metres). 

The tile-hung cottage is very small and was originally built in 1911 for “Willie” the coachman. 
It is cosily furnished with floral country prints and colours, fitted carpets and a mixture of furniture making it a very restful place to stay. The whole estate covers an area of 28 acres and visitors have the use of part of the grounds including the hard tennis court, grass badminton court and our indoor heated swimming pool and sauna, jacuzzi.

Ground Floor: Front door into entrance porch.
Living Room (11’8” x 10’0”) with working fireplace. There is a fitted carpet and a 2.5 seater settee that folds down into a 4’ bed.
There is a music centre, colour TV and radio. Also DVD and a VCR available on request.
Dining Room (11’7” x 11’0”) fitted carpet, table and equipment for 4-6 people.
Kitchen (8’4” x 11’0”) Although the kitchen is quite small it is nicely fitted with units and has all the machines: Electric cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, coffee machine, electric toaster, electric kettle, iron and Hoover. It has a back door into the garden and nice views from the sink!
Bathroom (7’6” x 7’7”) with bath, electric fitted shower, hand basin WC and shaver point.
 
Steep Staircase to:-
 
First floor: Two bedrooms with fitted carpets both approx. 10’6” x 12’0” one furnished with 4’6” double bed, the other with two 3’. Single divans. There is a choice of duvets or blankets and two pillows for each person.
 
The Cottage has oil-fired central heating, which provides constant hot water and radiators in every room. There is an immersion heater for emergencies. 
 
Rental includes: - oil, electricity and all household equipment, linen if required (there is a charge for this). The grass is kept cut and the garden tidy.
 
Rental does not include cleaning on departure (see booking form).
 
N.B. There need be no extras if you bring your own linen and clean before you leave.
