Bradley House was built in the middle 1700's by the Bradley family, once major landowners in the area and ancestors of the present owner. Originally the living accommodation was on the first and second floor, with stalls for cattle underneath, a commonplace arrangement in rural architecture in the north of England. The house became uninhabited in the 1850's and remained so until 1984. Built of local stone, it tucked snugly into the hamlet of hamlet of Harrop Fold and retains all the character of its fascinating history. The house has been lovingly restored and now offers first class comfort for up to 4 people. There is a neat walled garden at the front and inside are two bedrooms, one with double bed, the other with a pair of full size bunks. An additional "Z" bed is also available. Everywhere is well appointed, a relaxing sitting room, with exposed beams and a colour television and a well equipped dining kitchen. The homely tick of an antique Grandfather Clock completes the delightful ambience of this perfect retreat. This cottage has 1 double bedroom, 1 bunk bedded room, bathroom, comfortable living area, well-equipped kitchen. Pet welcome £25 extra charge.
