The Old Granary
was built in the mid 1800's by the Great Great Grandfather of the present owner, to meet the farming needs of that period. As farming practices changed the building became disused and rapidly began to fall into disrepair. It has now been sympathetically restored and retains much of the character of the building including the original beams. Built of local stone, it is hidden away in a quiet corner of the hamlet of Harrop Fold, with long distance views across open countryside.
The Old Granary is reached by an easy flight of stone steps and offers first class accommodation for two people. At the side is a well kept walled garden with antique benches, overlooked by a turret clock built into the exterior gable wall of The Old Granary, just in case you think time has stood still!! Inside there is one bedroom with double bed and a 3 piece bathroom with bath and shower. There is also an attractive lounge with exposed beams and a smart, well equipped kitchen and breakfast bar. A colour television is present in the lounge.
