Scotchcoulthard lies 4 miles north of Hadrian’s Wall at it’s highest point half way between Carlisle and Newcastle. We are located in the beautiful and unspoilt Northumbrian National Park and have 180 acres of upland farm which our guests are free to roam. Scotchcoulthard is run as a holiday cottage business with five cottages sleeping from 1 to 7 and is also a working farm. We have Rare Breed animals including pigs, cows, sheep and a few hens. We welcome children and pets. There is plenty of space for children to play with a tree house and play area. There is a games room with table tennis, a cd player, toys and games where children can make lots of noise and not disturb the grown ups We also have an indoor, heated swimming pool. AccessibilityWe have two cottages that have no stairs inside:- The Byre and Hope Sike. There are some steps down to Hope Sike but The Byre has a path that is accessible by wheelchair. One bedroom in The Byre has some steps into the bathroom but the other bedroom and bathroom are on the same level as the entrance and kitchen. There is one step from the kitchen into the open plan living room. |
