Seafield Lodge at Eastfield Hall is just two miles from the coastal village of Warkworth on Northumberland's Heritage Coast.Warkworth, with its shops, pubs and restaurants, is a beautiful village close to the fishing and sailing port of Amble where the River Coquet joins the sea. To the east is Coquet Island, populated by waders, seabirds and its famous puffins. To the north and south there are beautiful sandy beaches stretching for many miles. Warkworth also has its own beach and National Trust sand dunes.For bird-watchers, cruises go to Coquet Island from Amble and to the Farne Islands from nearby Seahouses. There are also nature reserves to the south at Hauxley and Druridge Bay.Warkworth Castle's tower dominates the village skyline and is visible for miles around. Four other castles are within easy reach: at Alnwick, Dunstanburgh, Holy Island and Bamburgh. The magnificent Alnwick Castle is now famous as Harry Potter's Hogwart's School and for the superb Alnwick Garden with its Grande Casacde.Warkworth is also an excellent base to explore historic and beautiful Northumberland with its country houses and estates.
