Situated in a picturesque location on a small livestock farm in beautiful countryside between Teesdale and Swaledale, the caravan offers a peaceful base for exploring the Dales. The caravan has a verandah with table and chairs to get close to the views across the fields. We run Highland cattle and Hebridean sheep and you are welcome to help out by feeding any pet lambs at lambing time or trying your hand at shearing a sheep! There are peaceful riverside walks on the farm with varied flora and fauna. As the farm is unimproved grassland and trees, we also have a wide selection of birds. Our luxury Bluebird static caravan has a double bedroom with an en-suite toilet and hand basin and a twin bedded room. There is a shower room with second toilet. The fully fitted kitchen has a gas hob and oven, fridge and microwave and adjacent dining area. We offer private fly fishing on the River Greta which borders the farm (and swimming if it's hot enough!). The Greta, and Brignall banks opposite, are described in Scott's poem 'Rokeby' as follows: Barnard Castle is a busy market town with a street market on Wednesdays and a leisure centre with swimming pool. It is also the home of the Bowes Museum which has great collections of art, porcelain and has special events taking place during most months of the year. Teesdale has many tourist attractions to explore and is an ideal base for a holiday. We are only an hour from the Lakes & the North York Moors. Special Features
