Alwyn's Byre (Sleeps 2)

This cottage comprises good-sized kitchen/diner with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and built-in cooker and hob. The lounge, with TV, video and DVD player, has an original exposed stone wall and oak beams. A feature staircase rises into the double bedroom with TV, built-in wardrobe and dressing table and access to an en-suite bathroom. It offers all-round panoramic views. Please note head height is restricted upstairs and would not suit persons over 6ft.

All the sheets, pillowcases, towels, teacloths, j-cloths are provided and the kitchens are comprehensively stocked with cutlery, china, iron, ironing board, etc. Barn Farm has a Biodisk and 'eco-friendly' washing-up liquid, dishwasher powder, etc. is in the kitchen for your use. All electricity and oil is included in the price. There is underfloor heating in the lounges and kitchens and combi-boilers for the hot water and upstairs radiators. There are areas for sitting with picnic table and chairs. The cottage is no smoking inside but there is a large gravel courtyard and acres of fields if you need to. Well-behaved dogs welcome with their rugs!

Barn Farm is situated midway between the villages of Tysoe and Oxhill at the foot of Edge Hill in the Vale of the Red Horse. It stands quietly in 97 acres of grazing farmland and commands outstanding views of the escarpment where the Battle of Edge Hill was fought on 23rd October 1642.

It is ideally positioned 12 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon, 10 miles from Banbury, 25 miles from Oxford, 14 miles from Warwick and a 20-minute drive from the Cotswolds. It is only a mile from the large village of Tysoe which has an excellent shop, butchers, doctors' surgery, pub, tennis courts, beautiful 11th century church and restored windmill.

The complex presently comprises two 1-bedroomed cottages converted from the stable (George's Stable) and byre (Alwyn's Byre).
