Dalraddy Cottage is a luxury architect-designed bungalow (built 2003) situated in the grounds of Pottal Pool House on the edge of Cannock Chase, Staffordshire. Dalraddy Cottage has been designed to be a relaxing "home from home". The ceilings are deliberately high to give a light and airy yet homely feel. There are solid light oak floors throughout the cottage (except the kitchen and bathroom areas which are ceramic tiled). Oil fired central heating, high levels of insulation and double-glazed mahogany windows mean comfort is assured. There are two bedrooms; at the front a double-bedroom complete with free standing bedroom furniture and two picture windows; at the rear a large twin-bedded room with ample furniture and an outlook to Cannock Chase Forest.The fully tiled rear bathroom has a toilet, wash basin, bath with shower over and is supplemented by a further toilet and wash hand basin at the front of the cottage. In the light oak fully fitted kitchen there is a washing machine, electric oven with grill, extractor hood, microwave, dishwasher and large fridge/freezer. Nearest the door are a dining table and four chairs. The through lounge is light and spacious and has virtually full-length windows to the front. The large French windows to the rear open out onto a private patio area with a table and seating. The lounge has a comfortable Ercol cottage-style three-piece suite and a large TV and video. The proprietors have a large video collection, which may be borrowed for use in the cottage. There are animals within the grounds of Pottal Pool House (currently goats, geese and chickens) and friendly German Shepherd dogs reside at Pottal Pool House.The cottage is ideal for walkers or cyclists visiting Cannock Chase itself (an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). The Chase Golf club and driving range is a few hundred metres away (across the road) for those interested in golf.Pony Trekking is 5 mins drive away, and cycles can be hired on Cannock Chase itself. prices from £150 per week to £400 per week depending on time of year Short breaks available also.
