Built in 1860, this charming cottage has been sympathetically restored and has many period features including exposed beams, fireplace with wood-burning stove and spiral staircases. These combined with up to date décor and furnishings give a delightful combination of period and contemporary style.The cottage is in a conservation area and is only a few minutes walk from the centre of Ludlow with its ruined Norman castle, fine half timbered Tudor buildings and elegant Georgian town houses, just some examples of the 500 listed buildings in the town. Ludlow has been called "the perfect historic town" and its original medieval street pattern survives almost intact. In recent years Ludlow has become renowned for excellent food. After London, Ludlow has the largest number of restaurants with Michelin stars and there are many interesting pubs, bistros and cafes. The annual Ludlow Festival, held in late June/July stages musical and literary events and includes an open-air Shakespeare production in the ruined castle. In September there is a Food and Drink Festival, which brings together several hundred small producers of quality food and drink and in November there is a Medieval Fair. Ludlow also has a Race Course with National Hunt Races held during October-May.
