It won the Suffolk Coastal village of the year award in 2004. Many local footpaths. Halesworth (3 miles) has good shops, cafes, art centre, antiques, banks and supermarket. Blythburgh, Dunwich forest and Blythe estuary are also 3 miles away. Southwold, Dunwich and Walberswick are 6 miles away on the Suffolk coast, and have good beaches. 6 miles east lies the RSPB bird reserve of Minsmere, where the famous Avocet lives!
