Overway Cottage is an imposing 18thC cottage, situated on an award winning farm in the heart of the Suffolk countryside near historic Lavenham.It is perfect for exploring Hadleigh, Bury St Edmunds, Sudbury, Constable Country, Ipswich, Cambridge, Colchester and the heritage coast of East Suffolk.It has 2 double bedrooms, sleeping 4, a family bathroom, sitting room, dining room, kitchen and downstairs cloakroom.The interior of Overway Cottage is beautifully furnished with Colefax and Fowler soft furnishings throughout.The main bedroom has its own separate vanity unit, is furnished with toile fabric and has iron Bed Company bed.The sitting room has a beautiful Inglenook brick fireplace and a working log fire as well as Colefax and Fowler curtains. It has a TV/video, DVD player and stereo as well as rugs and cushions to make it cosy whatever time of year.The dining room is wonderfully spacious and has a lovely, ornamental brick fireplace, Colefax and Fowler curtains and a delightful dining table and chairs that can easily be used to dine or entertain in both style and comfort.The large country kitchen has a beautiful pine Welsh dresser, fridge-freezer, washer-dryer, microwave, cooker and hob. There are French doors that lead onto a patio with extensive views across surrounding farmland.The patio is decorated with terracotta pots and wooden garden furniture, a matching umbrella as well as a barbeque. There are mini lanterns for the summer months to enable al fresco dining.There is car parking for several cars as Overway Cottage can be found down its own quiet lane.Preston St Mary is a pretty walk away from historic Lavenham, one of Englands finest medieval towns. It is possible to walk along the designated footpaths across Priory Farm, which surrounds the cottage.
