The Old Coach House is our own weekend retreat and is therefore equipped and furnished to a high standard. As a result we hope that you will find it a home from home that gives you an ideal base to either explore the local area or to just relax. The Old Coach House, a recent conversion of a small flint barn, is situated just a few yards from Friday Market in the centre of the historic village of Little Walsingham. Thus giving easy access to the local Public Houses, restaurant, local shops and historic sites, including the famous Shrine of Our Lady. As our own weekend retreat The Old Coach House, which has been converted in such a way as to retain its' character, is furnished and equipped to a high standard. Its location offers an ideal base to spend time in Little Walsingham, explore the beauty of the North Norfolk Coast and its' villages or just simply to relax. The accommodation comprises:The large entrance hall with ample storage space; access to the integral garage, which houses the washing machine/tumble dryer; the main living area & downstairs cloakroom (WC). The main living area, with its' solid oak floor has a freestanding wood burner as the focus to the lounge area. For those seeking relaxation there is a 14" Colour TV, a video recorder & a selection of pre-recorded videos. Videos may also be rented from the village shop. Wood & coal for the wood burner are not provided but are available locally. However you are welcome to use what there may be stored in the garage. Also within the main living area is the dining area. There you will also find a Radio/CD/Cassette player, a selection of books, & for the more energetic there is also a selection of local maps. The compact kitchen area, which provides a surprising amount of storage, leads from the corner of the dining area. Here you will find the electric oven/hob, microwave, slim line dishwasher and fridge. A view & access into the enclosed courtyard garden, with its garden furniture for those warms days and summer evenings, are also offered from this room. Upstairs the character of the original building is preserved with exposed beams and sloping ceilings in each of the rooms. The main bedroom, also with an oak floor, has a 5ft iron bed, sofa and an antique mahogany wardrobe. The second bedroom has an antique 4'6" iron bed and holds a satinwood wardrobe & chest. Finally the bathroom sneaks in under the eaves a small bath with electric shower and traditional hand basin & WC. Heating, via storage heaters, is provided, as is all bedding and linen & the basics such as kitchen and toilet rolls, tissues and cleaning materials. The accommodation is best suited to adults.
