About the cottages
These super cottages are a result of a conversion of a 19thC agricultural barn. Set in 6 acres of peaceful and secluded grounds, and surrounded by open countryside, yet only 5 minutes car journey from the historic town of Epworth, home of the Wesleys, John Wesley founder of Methodism.John Wesley was born in the town in 1703 at the Old Rectory which after being burnt down, was rebuilt and is now preserved. The town of Gainsborough is just 9 miles away, an inland port on the river Trent with its little known treasure the Old Hall, an outstanding timber framed medieval manor house with 15thC brick tower.
The cottages provide an ideal base not just to visit Lincolnshire with its pretty wold villages, Nottinghamshire and York are both within an hours journey. Within an easy drive are York, Lincoln, Newark and the forests of Sherwood. There are super walks from the door as well as acres of woodland and a private fishing lake. If you wish to stay closer to home the garden boasts a pretty courtyard and covered BBQ area complete with gas BBQ and patio heaters.Pre-arrival: Inclusions (prices include VAT) electricity, towels, bed linen, shared laundry room, BBQ, garden furniture/seating area.
