This is one of three cottages which can be combined to accommodate any number from 2 to 22 (when combing the three cottages). Each cottage has a kitchen / sitting room fitted out with solid oak units. They are well-equipped with an electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and a full range of cooking equipment, crockery and glassware. There is a TV, video and C.D.player in all the sitting rooms.

The cottages have full central heating and feature a wealth of original roof timbers. Designer fabrics and furnishings have been used throughout to create a luxurious yet homely atmosphere. The lovely oak beams, warm carpeting and cheerful fabrics all combine to make your stay truly comfortable and relaxing.
 
The cottages are available with one, two, three or four bedrooms. Some are interconnecting so, whilst still maintaining complete privacy, they can, if required, be joined to cater for larger groups.

There is an extra dining / conference room with separate kitchen within one group of three cottages which caters for parties of up to 18.

The bedrooms have either one double or two twin beds and a Z bed is available at a small charge for use in the sitting room if requested.
 
All the bedrooms have en-suite facilities comprising of toilet, wash-basin, shaver point and either a shower or bath with overhead shower.

All electricity, heating, towels and bedlinen is included in the price but please bring your own cot linen if required.

We do not accept pets and we regret that there is a “No smoking” policy in the cottages

About Upper Rectory Farm

Upper Rectory Farm is set amid the rolling cornfields on the outskirts of the village of Appleby Magna, a haven of peace and tranquillity in the wide-open spaces of North-West Leicestershire.

These self-catering cottages in the Heart of England are the original granaries, cowsheds, dairies and stabling of this working arable farm and have been sympatheically and tastefully restored in order to preserve the character of the local countryside and retain the buildings in a working setting.

Appleby Magna, ideally suited to explore the hidden attractions of Central England, is on the edge of the newly-created National Forest and within a short drive of Twycross Zoo, Conkers, Bosworth Battlefield, N.E.C. and the National Trust’s treasure trove, Calke Abbey, to name but a few of the places of interest nearby.
