Lovely 250 year old stone cottage on the Edge of the Peak District. In the centre of a village and near to an excellent pub that serves meals (50 yds) The cottage is very cosy but has been full modernised and has a lovely lounge with all the usual attractions and a dining table . Living Room- Three seater settee with two easy chairs, dining table and four chairs, dresser corner unit and coffee tables. Television, DVD, video and stereo unit for DVD'S C.D.'s, tapes and radio. Two storage heaters and electric fire. Kitchen- Fully fitted units with dishwasher, sink unit and fridge with freezer compartment. Built in oven with grill and electric hob. Ample cupboards and storage. Kitchen table and four chairs, radio, microwave oven, electric kettle, toaster and coffee maker. Ample crockery, cutlery saucepans and bowls. Ironing board and iron, vacuum cleaner and cleaning equipment. Telephone. Two panel heaters which can be controlled by a timer if required. Three steps lead to the:Central Hall- leading to the bathroom and stairs. There is also a side door to the patio and outbuilding. Electric storage heater. The out building also contains Garden chairs and is large enough to store bicycles, walking boots and other outdoor equipment. The cottage has a garden to the front and is south facing. Car parking is available on the road opposite the property and is in view of the cottage Well behaved pets are welcome. About Kniveton VillageThe nearest shops are approximately two and a half miles away at Ashbourne, where all types of shops, including a post office and other amenities can be found. There is a telephone box opposite the cottage for out going calls - mobile telephones do not operate in this part of the village. A post box is situated next to the telephone. A bus route runs within 50 yards of the property, providing regular service to Wirksworth and Ashbourne. The village has an excellent public house which serves meals and is near to the cottage. There are other pubs within a two mile radius. There are numerous footpaths near the cottage for walks over the surrounding countryside. The village has both a Methodist chapel and a Church, Nearest emergency services are located in Ashbourne. The Peak District has many wonderful walks from gentle strolls to difficult climbs and also boasts wonderftil scenery in addition to the many attractions for all the family. A visit to the Tourist Information Centre in Ashbourne will assist you to plan your holiday. Local Attractions
Ashbourne - Approx. 2 miles, has a variety of shops, and has market days all Thursday and Saturday. There is also a leisure centre with swimming pool and other amenities.
